Overview

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for retaining and growing membership. This will be done through communication with members on program awareness and savings and fostering relationships in support of botaniCo. The CSR will handle inbound/outbound sales and prospecting calls to educate and activate target audiences about botaniCo and increase membership. The CSR will work in conjunction with their industry lead and effectively plan together ways and actions to strengthen the membership community. Occasional travel will occur.

Reports to:                 botaniCo President

Hours:                        Full-time: Monday – Friday 8-5 PM+

Working Location:    Waterloo, IA / Telecommute

Responsibilities/Duties of the Job

  • Frequent communication with President to strategically plan needs and tasks
  • Execute end-to-end sales activities, including: prospecting, lead follow up, opportunity qualification, sales process, and membership
  • Assist with new member orientation and perform follow through to ensure a positive experience
  • Lead continued marketing to current members to retain and enhance their membership
  • Answer phone and email inquiries timely and accurately
  • Support members and vendors with questions and issues – know how and when to refer them for support elsewhere
  • Help to maintain departmental databases and spreadsheets for tracking purposes, including accruing status and resourcing information and monthly reports
  • Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to others in an open, balanced and objective manner
  • Perform other routine tasks as needed
  • Represent botaniCo at industry related trade shows, conferences and other events as requested
  • Maintain botaniCo’s positive presence on social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  • Update botaniCo’s website as needed
  • Update and maintain botaniCo collateral as needed
  •  Travel will be required periodically as designated by the needs of the role

Position Qualifications

Individuals must be highly motivated with a commitment to accomplishing goals and objectives -as crucial to success in this role. Prior B2B sales experience is required with ability to build relationships, identify needs and offer solutions to prospects and members. Additionally:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A high degree of professionalism/ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Superb organizational and time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Must have strong decision making and problem solving ability
  • Must have proven track record of dependability and flexibility
  • Must be willing to learn new techniques and highly adaptable to change
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel and relevant software such as MS-office: Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Knowledge of social media
